You will receive an email inviting you to our obituary platform to create your Always Remembering enhanced online obituary after providing the required information and submitting your payment.


Can I edit my Always Remembering enhanced online obituary before it’s submitted?


Yes. If you already have a Star Tribune login, simply use that email address to login to the obituary platform. If you do not have a Star Tribune login, you can create one by following the link in your Invitation Email or by visiting https://blog.startribune.com/membercenter. Please register with your email address in lieu of registering using your Facebook account if you are setting up a new account.

How long will it take to review my Always Remembering enhanced online obituary?


Obituary Representatives will review your submission to ensure it abides by our content standards. You will receive an email within 3 hours if you submit it during business hours.


What if an Obituary Representative finds an issue with my submission?


Sometimes we receive submissions that do not comply with our content standards. Our Obituary Representatives will contact you via email specifying requested changes. You can then login to the obituary tool to update your submission.

When will my Always Remembering enhanced online obituary appear online?


If your Always Remembering enhanced online obituary (either print or online-only) is submitted and approved before the scheduled run date, it will be eligible to appear online 1 day prior.

If you order the Always Remembering upgrade to your print obituary and you do not submit it by the scheduled print publication date, the print obituary replica will publish online and the Always Remembering enhanced online obituary submission will replace it upon approval.

If you order the Always Remembering enhanced online-only obituary and you do not submit it before the scheduled run date, it will not appear online until it is submitted and approved.

Can I still make changes after my Always Remembering enhanced online obituary is published?


Yes, whether you found a photo at the last minute or you want to change some of the text — just login, select your obituary, make your edits, and submit it for review.


What photos should I include?


  • We allow up to 25 photos (landscape or portrait) in .jpg and .png photo file formats with a maximum file size of 2MB per photo.*

  • We recommend including photos of your loved one throughout their life, especially those with family, friends, and other loved ones.

*Please note: Higher quality photos will make your photo gallery appear better.


What information should I include in the Life Story?


We suggest families focus the obituary description on information about their loved one and their life. You can write up to five pages of text, so there is plenty of room to expand and share.

We also offer modules for information related to Memorial Events, including funeral details, organizations to commemorate your loved one as well as those individuals preceding and surviving your loved one in death.
