Mayor R.T. Rybak will be visiting the White House this Tuesday for a forum with Minnesota business leaders, according to his office.

The event is sponsored by the White House Business Council and Business Forward, a coalition of large corporations.

"Participants will discuss what's working and how the private sector and government can collaborate more effectively to foster greater opportunity, innovation and job creation in Minnesota."

Rybak will also address a national breakfast meeting of the Democratic Municipal Officials on Tuesday morning.
The mayor is a DNC Vice Chair and President of the National Conference of Democratic Mayors.

Note: This post has been corrected to reflect that the mayor is going to the White House on Tuesday, not Thursday.
